A NEW GOOD TEMPLAR LODGE
To the Editor, Sill,—-In explanation of tlie advertisement in another column I would like to say a few words in reference to the starting of a new Good Templar’s Lodge here, on a substantial basis, under tlie jurisdiction of the BAY. Grand Lodge (British) of the World. The lodge at present established here being under the American R.W.G. Lodge members of either lodge, will not be able to interchange visits, each lodge will be as distinct as if there were only one in the town. 'Plie Grand Lodge I bold my commission from has until lately, been working solely in the North Island, but is now extending through Canterbury and Otago ; having all necessary powers to institute lodges, and believing there is room for one here, I shall institute as soon as the necessary ten signatures have been obtained to tlie application for a charter. Our order is immensely superior to the American in every way. I shall be most happy to enter into full explanations on this subject to anyone calling on me at my residence, Maxwell-road.—l am, etc., Blenheim, Nov. 19. Fred. Pirani.
