MARLBOROUGH WOOL.
To tiie Editor. Sir, —I will not weary the patience of your readers by continuing the correspondence with Mr Alfred Ward, for if I leply to his letter in full the discussion must become interminable as he trill say nmneIhintj , will admit nothhiy, does not confine himself to the question at issue, repeats assertions that have been disproved, and makes statements that have no foundation in fact. I will only directly notice what he says personal to myself. In his letter of the 2(ith instant, referring to the report in the Sydney Monthly Herald made by the staff of that journal, assisted by experts, he says :—“ Now, a short time ago Mr Charles Coulter told me a friend of liis did it, who, by-tlie-bye, is also a relation, thinking it would give Mr Coulter’s wool a good name.” I must emphatically deny ever having said this. I have no friend or relation in any way connected with the staff of the Sydney Monthly Merultl or the experts, and have not the slightest idea who they are. Our wool was sent to Sydney to the care of the agent of the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company.—l am, &c., Charles Goui.ter. [Mr Coulter lias now had liis reply and any further correspondence on the subject can only he inserted as an advertisement. -Ed. M.T.]
