SPRING CREEK ROAD BOARD.

The usual meeting of the Board was held on Wednesday, the 7th July, at 2 p.m.

The members present were Messrs J. H. Redwood (Chairman). C. o‘Dwyer, George Do - 'son, Is"ac Gifford, Win. Robinson, and Rovrden Soper. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Returning Officer announced that Messrs Row en Soper, Isaac Gifford, and Wm. Robinson had been duly elected as members of the Board without opposition. Mr J. H. Redwood was unanimously reelected Chairman for the year, and returned thanks to the Board for the renewal of their confidence.

A letter was read from Mr Fitzgerald, Assistant Engineel, stating that the short piece of road from the gates on the North side of the Opawa railway bridge to the end of the metalling was under the control of the Board. Messrs Andrell and Elsinore waited on theßoard, and asked them to form that portion of Viekerman Street, leading to their property. The Board said it had been decided to form the road about the end of Spring, but in the meantime they would instruct the Inspector to spend £5 in making it passable.

On the motion of the Chairman it was resolved to call for tenders for widening the road leading to the gates of the railway bridge, such tenders to be sent in by Wednesday, the 14th inst., ami the Chairman, and Messrs Dodson and Soper were appoint ed to open and accept. The Inspector was instructed to get the continuation of Wratt’s road formed and repaired to the river. The following accounts were then passed foi payment : —o‘Donolnie L 27 9s Id, John Hunter L 93 2s, Leary and Co. Ll 4 17s Sd, Nolan LI 9, Inspector Lll ss, Secretary L 7 10s, John Withey Ll 4 Ss, R. RonoweizLll 10s, Wm. Robinson LS, Impounder L2 10s. The Board then adjourned.
