MARLBOROUGH ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY.

The adjourned general meeting of tlie above Society was held at the Club Hotel on Saturday afternoon, Joseph Ward, Esq. in the Chair. The minutes of tbs’ previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Secretary produced the following balance sheet, which was adopted : Nov. 11th, 1579. Statement of Receipts by tlie Secretary. Received from Treasurer, L4O 9s 3d : Do T. O’Sullivan. (This was published in our issue of Tuesday last, when it was before the Committee)

The report was adopted with the following verbal alterations :—The words, “ the suhsetiption of LI per year will for the future entitle a member to a license for shooting without further charge ” were substituted for those previously inserted. The following words were added, “ Thanks are also due to Mr Draper for the assistance he has given to the Society by supplying food to the young trout.”

The meeting then proceeded to the election of officers. The following were elected :—Chairman, Mr J. Ward ; Vice-Chair-man, Mr J. R. W. Cook ; Treasurer and Secretary, Mr Joseph Redwood ; Extra Committeemen, Messrs Paul, Macklin, Winatanley, Gculter, John T. Robinson, and Hodson,

Thanks wore voted to the Secretary and other officers for their past services, and the meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the Chairman,
