- The Selwyn school has now broken up foi the Christmas holidays. The following is the prize list: Primers: All the infant children got prizes for their work during the year. In addition Beatrice Sanders was awarded a certificate for attendance. The. awards were: Best pupils: Standard I. Mona Whare. Standard 11., Ellen Dally. Standards 111. and IV., Jim Hiriiii. ' Best progress: Standard L, Alan Abbott; Standard It, Lloyd Brown; Standards III: and IV., Edna Dully. The prizes were presented by the chairman, who remarked on the good progress the school had made and the excellent report given by the inspector, and congratulated the master, Mr. A. Blundell, on the high state of the school's proficiency. The school will resume on the second. Monday in February. Mr. Blundell, the master, is spending his vacation at Auckland and New Plymouth.
