WAIKATO SHOW.
MATAMATA SUCCESSES. * A number of Matamata successes were recorded at last week's Waikato show.' Messrs. Mears Bros, were awarded first, second*and third honours in Uhe Jersey and sheep classes and Mr. W.W. Livingstone practic- ■ ally cleaned up the English Leicester sheep classes. ; The first, grade Friesian cow was owned bv Mrs. Allen, having been purchased by her from Mr. P. Qumlan, Matamata, as a heifer. Mrs. Allen also secured awards in the fat classes. . The Piri Land Co. was a big winner in the' Friesian classes also. J. Allen, Putaruru, won first prize iin the amateur judging competition,, being only four points-below the judge's assessment. This was considered a very creditable performance. The Dominion hunter competition of £l5O was won by Miss:Kelso (late of Shaftesbury) with Patch. Major AM. Samuel's (Pairere) El Arish was third.
