HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE BOARD.
PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN OF £2700 FOR DRAINAGE WORKS OVER A SPECIAL RATING AREA Notice is hereby given in terms of i Section 8 of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1918," that it is proposed by the Hungahunga Drainage Board to borrow from the New Zealand Stateguaranteed Advances Office Superintendent a Special Loan for the construction of new drainage works for; the drainage of'a portion of the Hungaliunga Drainage District which is not a legal subdivision, i.e., the South Waihclcau No. 2 Special Rating Area, comprising portions of Blocks V., VIII., IX., XIII., XIV., Waircre Survey District and Blocks 11. and 111., Tapapa Survey District, viz., to cleanse and widen existing water courses, drains and outfalls and to make and construct new watercourses, drains and outfalls. AND that the sum to be borrowed is £2700, the proposed security for the said loan is a special annual recurring rate on a graduated scale according to the classification, of lands within the said Hungahunga Drainage District, viz., on “A" lands, lid, on “B” lands,' Id, and on “ C ” lands U upon the unimproved value of the rateable property within the said special rating area. Such rate will provide principal and interest by payment of seventy-three half-yearly instalments of £2 16s Id per cent, and is the provision for repayment of the loan. Pursuant to Section 10 of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of South Waihekau No. 2 Special Rating Area, Hungahunga, Drainage District, on the proposal to raise a loan of £2700 for the purpose of constructing new drainage,works, will be taken on TUESDAY, the 18th day of December, 1923, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., at ‘the polling places, the Office of the Board, Council Chambers, Te Aroha (principal), the Public Hall, Waharoa, and the Town Hall', Matamata.
