ROADS IMPROVEMENT LOAN SCHEME. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW. Notice is hereby Riven that, it is the intention of the Matamata. Town Board, under the provisions of “The Town Boards Act, 1908,” and “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” and amendments, to borrow the sum of £20,000 for the following purposes and under the following conditions:— (a) The purpose for which the loan is required is to carry out a comprehensive streets and roads improvement scheme. 1 (b) The sum proposed to bo borrowed is £20,000. (c) The loan will be secured by means of an annually-recurring special rate of 13-l(sd in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Matamata Town District, the period of the loan to be 364 years, and the rate of interest to be not more than 54 per cent., with an addi- | tional charge of 1 per cent, to provide , a sinking fund. I (d) It is proposed to. pay out of the loan the cost of the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. ; Complete plans, specifications and | estimates of the proposed works may be viewed at the Town Board office, j Matamata.
