MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW—MATAMATA RIDING. SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING NO. 2 LOAN OF £30,000 FOR METALLING, WIDENING AND BITUMINOUS SURFACING. Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Matamata County Council, under the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, the Local Bodies* Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto and all other Acts if any and in that behalf enabling and with the consent of the Governor in Council to borrow the sum of £30,000 for metalling, widening and bituminous surfacing of portions of the following roads in the Matamata riding: —Hinuera-Matamata, Matamata-Wa-haroa, Waharoa-Walton, Waharoa-Turanga-o-moana, Hot Springs cor-ner-Okauia, Tc Aroha road, Mata-mata-Tc Poi and the Mangawhero road; and as security, for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan to mak,e and levy a special rate of twenty-nine thirty-seconds of one penny (29-32 d) in the £ upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Matamata riding, and it is the intention to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first, year. The loan is for a period of 365 years at a rate to be approved by the Minister of Finance but not to exceed 51 per cent. per. annum with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinking fund.
