Quinlan and the relatives of the late Mrs. Mary Quinlan was carried in the usual way. THE POUND. * It was agreed to support the Town Board in any efforts it might make with regard to improving conditions at the Matamata pound, and to suggest that arrangements be made for a much larger area with a view to cutting down expenses. ORGANISATION. A letter was received from Mr. L. H. McAlpine, district organiser, stating that he would be in Matamata on Tuesday and that he would be conducting prppagandic work among the farmers during his stay. . .DOMINION EXECUTIVE. , The minutes of the meeting of the Dominion Executive, held at Wellington in July, were leceived and tabled. SPAYING COWS. On the motion-of Mi*. A. Bowler it was decided to write to the Stock Department, and also to the Morrinsville branch, for general information re spaying cows, and for suggestions as to a man suitable for carrying out the work. ■ k
