The work done gratuitously by Mr. J. The Public Works Department; seemed minded to adopt one oil the low level in that it held the structure would lie temporary only, the permanent bridge being over the top of the dam. Inquiry, however, showed that the dam, with the necessary adjoining bridge over the headrace, would probably involve a tortuous crossing. He therefore would ask the Council to lodge a request for the erection of a high-level bridge in the first place. 'Plie Council agreed to do this.
