METEOROLOGICAL
The rainfall at Matamata for September as recorded by Mr W. Kirkness, at Green Meadows, was 5.38 inches, which fell on 14 days. The heaviest fall was 3.51 inches on Sept. 10th. At Tirau 2*67 inches fell on 12 days, the maximum being 1.22 in. on September 10th. In the same month last year the fall was 2.46. rai* as fallen, as against 36.40 inches for the corresponding period of 1918.
