STOCK SALES.

Thore was a large attendance of buyers at the combined dairy sale held at Matamata on Tuesday, to suit which the yarding was apparently not largo enough. Fair to choice cows and heifers brought above ruling prices, and bidding was much more free than is usual, probably on account of the feed shortage being practically over. Prices ranged in the vicinity of: Good cows £l9 to £22 10s, medium cows £l6 to £l7 10s, others £l2 to £l3 10s, choice heifers £l9 to £22, fair to good heifers £l6 15s to £lB, others £ll to £l2.

At the clearing sale of Mr C. E. Fisher, at Hinuera, the cows and heifers, an exceptionally fine lot, sold at moro than the usual ruling rates, somo cows of extra merit realising up to £3O, and horses to £4l.

About 550 cattle, sheep and pigs wero yarded at the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co s firau sale on Wednesday. The attendance was exceptionally large.
