TENNIS CLUB.
Annual Meeting. The annual mooting of the Matamata l Tennis Club was held on Friday evening last. Mr B. C Taylor presided. Before proceeding with the business the chairman made reference to the loss tho club had sustained through tho death of Mr H. A. Kelso. —It was resolved to send a letter of condolence to Mrs Kelso. The balance-sheet, as previously published, was adopted. Officefb were elected as follows : Patron, Hon. W. H. Herries, M.P.; president, Mr J. Price; vice-presidents, Messrs E. C. Banks, B. C. Taylor and Dr Muir: secretary and treasurer, Mr W. Hookey; committee, Mesdames Burke, Kusabs, Laurie, Misses Lake, A. Robinson, J. Edwards, Wallace, Messrs L. Connell, B. Blennerhassett, M- Stubbing, S. Stockdale, Mace, R. E. Burke and F. Connell. The subscription for the season was fixed at £1 Is for gentlemen and 10s 6d for ladies. It was decided that the ground committee, consisting of Messrs Burke, Stockdale and Dr Muir, should inspect the courts and report to the general committee. The chairman stated that everything pointed to a most successful season. Donations were promised by Mr E. C. Banks, Mr B. C. Taylor, Dr Muir and Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd.
