MATAMATA SALES. Dulgcty and Co, held their monthly stock Halo on Wednesday. There was an extra large yarding of cattlo of all classes, but the keenest demand was for dairy stock. Two-year Jersey heifers (a line from Mr J. F. Vosper) realised up to .£25 ss. Prices were: Pigs, baconers to £5 ss, sows £4, porkers £3 17s 6d, slips 245. Sheep, fat hoggets (woolly) 30s to 42b', others 28s. Dairy stock, good cows £'2o to £27 ss, others JCI2 to £lO, heifers, good, to £25 ss, backward heifers£7 to £ll 10s. Cuttle, yearling heifers £2 4s to £5, yearling steers £2 15s to £4 13s, fat and forward cows £lO to £l4 16s, small steers to £lO 7s, fresh conditioned cows to £9 13s<, storo cows £5 10s to £7 7s, empty two-year heifers £6 2s (Jd to £9 17s 6d, bulls (low-conditioned and small) to £5. Farm horsos to £4l. Tho Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Company had its monthly stock salo at Matamata on Wednesday, when there was a largo attendance. Bidding for dairy stock was keen. Good heifers were sought for. Prices were . Pigs—porkers to £4 17s, slips £2 15s, weanors 80s. Sheep—fat hoggets 365, storo hoggets 255. Cattle—fat steors £l7 12s, lighter £l4 5s to £l4 178, hoavy fat cows £l4 to £ls 17s Qd, lighter £l2 5s to £lB 2s, good fresh conditioned cows £8 I9d to £9 10s ; storo cows £3 12s Od to f'9 7h ; 4yr steers £l3, 3 to 3}>r steers £|o to £ll 17s, good yearling steers £4 15s to £5 7s 6d, smaller £3 3s to £3 18s, yearling heifers £3 15s to £4 15s, smaller £2 8s to £3 Is, Dairy cows to £24 15s sold by Mr 11. E, Harding; heifers to £23 15s sold by Mr Win. Crabb. Only one bull was offered.
