Owing to the increase in expenses in connection with recent shows the president introduced the question of raising the fee of membership. He suggested following the example of Cambridge and Hamilton, whose subscriptions had for some time been £l. On the motion of Mr W. T. Darby the president's suggestion was adopted without dissent. It was also decided that the amount of life member subscription be left to the executive committee to consider. THE GROUND.

The chairman again referred to the matter of the show-grounds, which he said was now too small for requirements. The secretary read a letter from the Matamata racing club, considered by the executive before the meeting, in which the club offered the association the right to use the racecourse property for ten years for a one day show at an annual rental of £6O; in the event of the association deciding to hold a two-day show an extra £lO per day to be charged. After discussion, in which the members agreed with the president that new grounds were essential, it was decided that the matter be left in the hands of the executive committee, for a recommendation to a general meeting later. THANKS. The meeting concluded with votes of thanks to the retiring president, the vice-presidents, and secretary.
