METEOROLOGICAL.

The rainfall for the month of July, as registered by Mr W. Kirkness, at " Greenmeadows," Turanga-o-moana, was 4.53 inches which fell on 16 days. The heaviest fall was 1.41 inches on July 15th. At Tirau rain also fell on 16 days but was much heavier than at Matamata 6.05 inches being registered by Mr F. Shannon. The maximun fall was 1.87 inches on the 15th. During the corresponding month of last year only 3.47 inches was recorded on 16 days.
