MATAMATA TOWN BOARD.
Fortnightly Meeting. The fortnightly meeting of the Matamata Town Board was held on Monday evening. Commissioners J. Price (chairman), W. A. Gordon and G. G. Bell were present. The business was light on account of the adjourned meetng having been held but the previous Monday. HYDRO-ELECTRIC MATTERS Following on a letter from Mr F. M. Strange, chairman of the Thames Valley Hydro-electric League, Messrs J. Price and J. F. Vosper were appointed to attend a meeting to be held at Te Aroha on Monday next, when the question of forming a board will be discussed. SUB-DIVISION.
In reply to a letter an assurance is to be given Mrs P- J. Western that the money to be lodged on account of the roading of Western's sub-division will be expended on roads in that block when required. THAT ADJUSTMENT.
The chairman and some other members of the Board were deputed to wait on the County Council at its next meeting, to endeavour to arrive at a settlement in connection with the matter (the pound) in dispute.
