Tho use of the trooper’s actual language took the Assembly so much by surprise that members simply let themselves go,” This paved the way for another outspoken remark. The padre had been talking about Samson’s feat with the gates of Gaza, and after the talk a soldier came along to him and after referring to the gate story, ho remarked, “ Good God, padre, you don’t expect us to swallow that!”
