A MEETING of all members of the community has been called for Tuesday next to discuss the advisability of forming a HydroElectric League in Matamata. A considerable amount of data has been prepared by the convener and will be put before the meeting. This meeting should attract everyone interested in the wellfare of Matamata, for the proposed scheme is quite the most important that has yet been put forward for the Matamata district. A hydro-electric league is necessary if the early use of electricity is to be obtained, for there will be much work to be done, and continued advocacy will certainly be necessary. Residents, farmers and business will have the opportunity of lending their active and moral support to those who have been studyin* and working in the matter. We would strongly urge all who possibly can to attend.
