MATAMATA A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
Executive Meeting. An executive meeting of the Matamata A. and P. Association was held on Friday evening, Mr J. W. Simpson presiding. The members present were Messrs J. Price, M. Madiil, A. and E. Bowler, J. Cranswick, H. and W. Harding, R. Hope, H. Rollett, J. F. Vosper, J. E. West and W. Wilson. CONDOLENCE. Before proceeding with the business the president moved a vote of thanks with ail those who had lost relatives during the recent epidemic. NEW MEMBERS. The following new members were elected : —Messrs T. Bottomley (Matamata), H. J. Pannett (Hinuera), E. L. Robinson (Hinuera R.S. settlement), and G. A. Kusabs (Matamata). GRAZING. The president reported that the tender of Mr W. Egan had been accepted for grazing the showground. SCHEDULE. The major portion of the sitting was taken up with the matter of revising the schedule. Several alterations to the reading of conditions attached to horse events were made. It was decided to include a class for artillery horses, for a prize to be donated by Mr Sefton Banks. The cattle classes were left unaltered, but the conditions attached to the sheep section were slightly altered. The prize-money for the pet lamb class was increased. In view of the lateness of the hour it was decided to allow the allocation of Mr H. E. Porritt’s £3 3s cup to stand over until next meeting. ACCOUNTS. I Accounts totalling £l6 10s Id were passod for payment.
