MANAWARU

The social and fancy dress dance at Manawaru on Thursday evening last, promoted by Mrs Magill and an enthusiastic committee in aid of the Catholic Church funds, was very well attended, for besides a great many from the neighborhood, visitors attended from Te Aroha, Matamata, Waharoa and Waihou. The costumes were many and varied, and several of them were extremely pretty and effective. Dancing was kept up with zest for several hours, the music and floor alike conducing to absolute enjoyment. A very tasty supper was provided, and done full justice to.
