PUKETURUA
The Puketurua (Putaruru) Cooperative Dairy company has paid out Is 9d per lb butter-fat for the September supply to its cheese factory, and are subsidising the suppliers who are carting their milk two miles and over, pro rata according to the distance. The directors contemplate putting on a motor lorry for carting the milk of suppliers living at a distance from the factory. This district, as with the locality generally, is showing marked signs of progress due principally to the operations of the cheese factory.
