ON THE SCREEN.
“ Limousine Life.” The story of the great drama to be screened on Saturday is as follows: —Minnie Wills, (Olive Thomas) of Three Oaks, runs away to Chicago with the assistance of her sweetheart, Jed, and gets work in a shop where she meets Kelts, wealthy and notorious rounder, who is fascinated by her beauty. Desperate because she keeps him at a distance he proposes marriage, and by accepting his solitaire Minnie is marked as a victim of Kelts’ tricks. When Mrs Kelts comes to purchase gowns Minnie boldly announces her engageand is embraced as a wealthy antidote for his wildness. Kelts sees himself caught in his own trap and escapes from an uncomfortable situation by presenting his limousine to Minnie, who then converts her gifts into cash and returns to the simple life. The programme also includes the second instalment of “The Mystery of the Double Cross,” and a Gaumont Graphic.
