STOCK SALES.
MORRINSVILLE. There was a fair yarding at the Farmers’ Auctioneering company's sale on Friday. Mutton and beef were firm in price, stores were quiet, good quality calves sold well, but poorer sorts were, low in price. The dairy stock entered were on the whole poor in quality and the demand was dull. Prices were: Sheep, fat wethers 43s for a line entered by Mr C. Cameron, prime fat ewes 29s (id to 31s Gd, fan hoggets 23s to 24s 9d, others 15s 6d to 235, ,2, 4 and 6-tooth ewes in laiftb 29s 6d to 355. Cattle, fat bullocks £l6 to £l6 14s for an entry from Mr A. Orr, 31-year fresh-conditioned steers penned by Mr A. Orr £l3 12s 6d, 18 months to 2-year steers £5 18s to £8 3s, good steer calves £5 to £6 for a pen of 16 polled Angus yarded by Mr O. Glynn, fat cows £lO to £ll ss, freshconditioned cows £7 to £8 10s, store and old cows £4 to £6 15s, cows and calves yarded by Mr A. Orr £l4, heifer calves to £3 Bs, mixed sexes calves £2 2s Gd to £3 15s. Dairy cattle, Mr L. Thomas’ herd made from £ll 15s to £l3 ss, two of Mr G. Anderson’s herd made £l4 and the rest were withdrawn. Other cows made from £lO 15s to £ls ss, heifers to £l2 15s.
