THE FISK JUBILEE SINGERS.
Music-lovers will hail whh delight the news that the world-famed Fisk Jubilee singers will reappear in Matamata after an absence of many 3'ears. This company was established about 35 years ago by the late Mr J. McAdoo, and has been touring the world ever since. Death has removed all hut two of the original band, which came to Australasia from America, the musical director (Professor C. A. White) and Miss Belle Gibbons, the lady baritone singer and leador of tho Jubilee choruses, being tho only survivors. In all tho years the Fisks have been appearing before the public it is doubtful whether they were ever stronger than at present, as a number of new singers have been engaged, and the company is now ten strong and every performer is a first rate artist. It has just concluded a successful season at Auckland, and no doubt when they open at the Town hall on Tuesday next there will be a bumper house to welcome them. The box plan is at Melntyre's, and seats may bo reserved there without any extra charge.
