CLEARING SALE.

MR J. POHLEN’S HERD. A clearing sale of Mr J. Pohlen’s dairy herd was conducted by the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency company on Thursday, when another record was attained. The herd of 46 cows averaged a fraction over 20 guineas. The highest bid was reached for a Holstein knocked down to Mr P. Quinlan at 27 gns. The biggest buyer was Hy T, Ivenealy, of Te Awamucu. Other largo buyers were Messrs P. Quinlan, J. Fitzgerald, W. Brindle and W. Darragh. Six springing heifers realiaed 15£ gns each.
