"She came to you to do good and earu affection and you stoned hor " this blazing assertion occurs in the final dramatic scene in the "An Alabaster Box" whero at tho stairhead, tho banker whose bankruptcy had made him such bitter enemies among his townsfolk tells them something about themselves. A bazaar to pay the Minister's salary is one of the cleverly depicted '• countrytown " incidents. Owing to the fact that there is no money in tho place, after several hours only 5 cents in actual cash has been collected, and the outlook is gloomy. This film which is to be screened at Matamaia on Saturday next is said to be a Vitagraph triumph, too good to bo told in words. The programme also includes a Pathe ' comedy, Oaumont Graphic and the second edition of Bairnfather's famous j cartoons.
