STOCK SALES.
MATAMATA. Dalgety and Co held their monthly sale at Matamata on Wednesday, when there was a large yarding. With the exception of backward dairy stock most lines changed hands. Anything of quality brought good prices. Fat cows brought up to 14 guineas.' Prices were:—Dairy stock, heifers good £'l2 12s to £l4 14s, backward heifers £8 to £l2 7s, cows forward up to £ls os, others £l2 to £l3. Fat stock, fat cows to £l3, forward conditioned cows £lO to £l2, bulls £G to £B, heavy to £l4 10s, store cows from £4 to £6 10s, 20 months steers £6 to £6 10s, 20 months heifers £4 18s to £5 10s, calves, good stee/s £5, others from £3 to £4 10s, heifer calves good £4 10 to £i 18s.
