PUBLIC LIBRARY.

Committee Meeting. A meeting of the Public Library committee was held on Tuesday evening, Mr J. Draper occupying the chair. It was decided to call in all books, which require to be recatalogued, and that the library be closed from April Ist to 14th. It was also decided that no subscriber be allowed more than two books at the one time, and that a fine of 6d be enforced on subscribers keeping books over a fortnight. For the convenience of subscribers books may be left at Mrs Free’s residence. It was stated that it is most imperative that all books should be in within the next few days. In future the library will be opened on Wednesday and Saturday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
