RED CROSS WORK.
A well attended meeting of the Matamata Red Cross society was held in,the hall on March 14th. Mesdames Rollett and Beeson provided afternoon tea, which made a welcome break in a very busy three hours work. The box packed at the close of the meeting contained the following: 16 pyjama suits, 18 shirts, 36 pillowslips 84 t iwels, 36 handkerchiefs, 48 roller bandages, 18 treasure bags, 35 eye bandages, 14 cakes soap, 4 Balaclava caps, 1 flannel shirt, 2 nightingales, 1 pair slippers, 17 face cloths. Included from Turanga-o-moana were: 6 pyjama suits, 1 pair slippers, 9 roller bandages, 1 flannel shirt, 2 nightingales, 8 treasure bags.
