MATAMATA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

February Meeting. The February meeting of the Matamata school committee was held on Tuesday, Messrs J. Pohlen (chairman), S. Gunn (secretary), J. Draper, B. Schwarz, G. Duxfield, A. G. Yardloy and the head mister were present. SCHOOL FUNDS. The Education Board wrote stating that the sum of £IQ 15s had been lodged to the committee's credit, being the quarter's grant. The secretary explained that the account was now well in credit, over £3O being in the bank. ANNUAL PICNIC. The matter of holding a school picnic was discussed, and it was decided to hold a picnic on March Ist. It was decided that the choice of the location be made at the next meeting. EXTENSION OF SHED. Two tenders were received for the extension of the saddle shed, that of Mr J. Moreland being accepted. The matter of arranging the work was left in the hands of the chairman.
