A social evening, which was attended by Matamata and trict friends, was tendered at their home by Mr and Mrs Mark Madill in honor of Mr and Mrs Chalmers’ visit last week. Numerous songs and musical items were rendered, all present taking a part, and a very pleasant evening resulted. Mr and Mrs Chalmers left on Friday for Auckland, and arrive at their home at Kawhia on Tuesday.
