TENNIS.

A large gathering of members, as well as visitors, attended the Matamata tennis courts on Saturday afternoon. Some good play was witnessed by the onlookers. The ladies are taking great interest in the club and showed themselves in full force. A dainty afternoon tea was served, the ladies committee having these arrangements well in hand. It is hoped that ladder competitions will be arranged this week, to enable players to start their matches right away.
