WAIHOU. There was an extra large yarding of cattle at the Farmers’ Auctioneering Coy.’s sale at'Waihou on Friday, particularly of weaners. The attendance was up to the average and buyers for export were operating for beef. Sheep were not yarded in large numbers, and prices were not up to vendors’ expectations. Pigs were yarded in fair numbers and weaners made from 6s to 14s 6d, porkers 29s to 355, sows to 50s, well-grown mixed weaner calves made from 68s to 90s, lighter sorts 39s 6d, yearling to 18-months steers £5 ss, heifers of the same age to 97s Gd, prime fat bullocks £l6 15s, fat cows £l3 10s for best sorts, £ll 15s to £l2 15s for good sorts, £8 10s to £lO 10s for lighter sorts, fresh-conditioned cows £9 12s 6d, Jersey bulls £ll 15s, Holstein bulls £ls and £l7 for best, others £9 to £l2 10s, Shorthorn bulls £ls for best, others £lO to £l4. HIKUTAIA. The prices were as follows ; —Fat cows, from £ll 5s to £l3 Bs, fresh conditioned cows £9 10s to £lO 15s, eighteen months to two-year-old steers, up to £9 10s, weaner calves from £2 14s to £3, culvcb 32s 6d to £2 ss, heavy bulls 9 j gns, dairy cows £lO to £l2 10s, dairy heifers £8 7s to £lO 15s, fat owes to 255, fat lambs 24s to 255, porkers 34s to 38s. MATAMATA. The Farmers’ Auctioneering Coy. held its monthly stock sale at Matamata on Wednesday, when there was a very heavy yarding of sheep and cattle and a largo attendance. Prices for beef were maintained, but there was little demand for store cattle or young stock. Pigs also sold well. Three pens of prime beef sold for Mr H. A. Bunn realised £l6 2s Gd, £l6 lbs and £7 5s respectively. Prices were : —Pigs, weaners 1.2 s to IDs, slips 22s to 295, porkers £2 10s; Cattle, prime steers £l6 18s to £l7 ss, lighter steers £l6 2s Od, prime heavy fat cows £l2 6s to £l4, medium quality £lO 15s to £ll 2s Gd, forward empty cows £9 2s to £lO Bs, storo cows £6 13s to £7 ss, heavy fat bulls £lO to £ll 10s, lighter £7 10s to £8 IDs, best steer calves £4 2s to £4 Bs, good heifer calves £3 8s to £3 14s, good calves, mixed sexes, £3 19s to £4 3s, small calves £2 13s to £3 3s; Hheep, fat woolly ewes and wethers 36s 6d, fat 2tooth ewes and wethers 30s 6d to 32s Gd, at ewes 24s Gd, good store woolly lambs 17s 3d, storo lambs 10s 7d.
