South Seas Fiesta
Mana is holding a fundraising ‘South Seas Fiesta’ extravaganza at the Overseas Lounge, Princess Wharf on April 29.
The Tongan dance troupe is being flown in from Tonga as well as a Samoan fire dance group from Apia. Martin Kini, Sammy Dee and a large number of Maori and Pacific Island cultural groups are also entertaining. The Yandall Sisters have also been approached.
Sponsors of the Fiesta so far include Polynesian Airlines, Air Pacific and the Fiji Visitors Bureau.
As well as the top-class entertainment there will be a lavish feast of Polynesian delicacies and drinks served to guests. Many celebrities from all com-
munities will be attending the South Seas Fiesta which starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday night.
Listen to Radio Hauraki the last week of this month for further details.
The Fiesta is an all out effort by Mana’s Trust Board to raise substantial funds for the paper so tickets don’t come cheap. In fact they are $25 a double but don't worry you’ll definately get your money's worth so start saving now for the show of the year. Tickets can be obtained at the Corner Booking Office, Venusi’s Travel Bureau in St Kevins Arcade, Karangahape Road and at the Mana Office, I2A East Street, Newton (just down from the Newton Post Office).
