TELEGRAPHIC SUMMARY VIA SYDNEY AND DUNEDIN. The following Home news appeared in an Extraodinary, since which we have received no further intelligence. The barque Rialto, from Newcastle, N.S.W. arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday, having on board a torn copy of the ' Sydney Herald of the 17th ult,, containing portions of that journal's telegraphic Summary of English July news. London, August 3. Laying of the Atlantic cable proceeds successfully. 110 miles of wire are paid out Sentence of death passed upon Miss Kent for the Road murder. Afterwards commuted to penal servitude for life. Conspirators against Lincoln airrested. Revolutionary movements in Prussia. Marriage of Prince of Orange with Princess Helena definitely arranged. The general elections resulted in a majority of eighty to the Liberals. Harvest prospects throughout the kingdom most promising. Extensive fire occurred in London, causing an immense amount of loss. The American military commission on the conspiracy trial agree'd on a verdict, but decision not published. Jn<lgc Advocate asserted that four of the prisoners were fellow conspirators with Booth, and contended that Da vies, Sanders, Tucker, and another, planned and assisted Lincoln's assassination. Estimated loss of Confederates during the war is five billion dollars. Government orders the army of the Potomac to muster. President Johnson persists in refusing an amnesty proclamation excluding rebels worth over 12,000 dols. The military authorities in Kentucky arrested Emerson and Dooheridge for making incendiary speeches at Tennesse. It is reported that Napoleon offers Abd-el-Kader the Government of Algiers. Political and friendly relations between the Pope and the Minister of the Emperor Maximilian are completely broken. The Mexican embassy at Rome is to be withdrawn. Banquets given at Cologne and Dnetz to the Liberal members of the Chambers have been suppressed by Government, and the guests dispersed by the military. The people are determined to test the question by a similar banquet at Bremen. A severe cyclone has occurred in the China Seas—centie being Swatow. The steamers Loukeen and I.aDa Rookh were totally wrecked on the July. Passengers and crew saved Two splendid steamers P. and 0. Co's Corea and Chanticleer, owned by Russell & Co, are supposed have foundered with passengers and crews. Two steamers sent in search returned unsuccessful. New Zealand Loan, 102 to 104. A ministerial crisis has taken place in Vienna. Government tendencies are assumirg a practical shape, by an amnesty of all Polish and Hungarian political prisoners. THE WEST COAST. Maid of theYarraat Nelson, with 68'0 ozs of gold. Lyttelton, with 13,000 ozs. Nelson stranded at the Grey with 8000 ozs. on board. Samson and Yarra steamers wrecked, and schooner John Bullock. The Crest of the Wave from Hokitika, reports an immense rush to Bruce Bay. The Wm. Miskin got on the spit in attempting to leave Hokitika, with 240 diggers on board for Bruce Bay.
