The Wines, Spirits and Provisions are of the best quality that can be obtained. Their general stock has also been selected under careful personal supervision. The prices are as low as is consistent with the smallest profit. The opening up of direct communication between the Arrow Township and Upper Shotover will enable miners and packers to supply themselves with every requisite for the diggings at greatly reduced rates, inasmuch as the very heavy expenses hitherto entailed upon them, owing to the difficulty of access to markets, will be avoided.
