INVERCARGILL. An improved feeling manifested itself in the beginning of the week, but the scarcity of drays checked it, and a few showers having fallen within the last 48 hours, the roads are returning to the same condition they were in last week. The only alteration in price we have to note is in the article of oats, for which there h"s been a slight speculative inquiry, and timid holders have been bought out, and the market value has risen to 9s.

nOItSE AND CATTLE MARKET. The state of the roads and the liigh rate of cartage to the diggings, has increased the demand for draught horses to a very great extent.
