We are at all times ready to give expression to every shade oj opinion, and the discussion of all matters of public interest, but in no case do we hold ourselves responsible for the sentiments of our correspondents. MURCHISON AND LONGFORD MAIL SERVICE. [to the editor of the lyell times.] Sir, —I should like to draw the attention of those who are most interested, to the fact, that as tenders are now called for the above service for the space of two years, now is the time to move in the matter and remove the cause of the present public disatisfaction, by insisting that we be granted the same facilties that are enjoyed by much smaller districts. If it be not too late the PostmasterGeneral should be petitioned to increase the service from a bi-weekly to a triweekly. Though lam afraid that nothing will be done, as those who ought to take the thing in hand show a general supineness in most tilings that do not affect their own pockets.—l am, '&c., Pro Bono Publico. Murchison, 24th September, 188 G.
