Mining Notices. APPLICATION FOE SPECIAL CLAIM Nelson South-West Goldfields, August 13tb, 1886. To the Warden at Murchison— I HEREBY apply for a Special Claim of the lands hereinafter described, in accordance with Section 93 of "The Mines Act, 1877," of New Zealand, and I agree, upon the approval of this application, to accept a Special Claim upon the basis therein stated, if the Governor shall think lit to grant the same. Minimum number of men proposed to be employed by the lessee—For the first six months, 6 men; subsequently, when in lull work, 10 men. Amount of capital proposed to be invested—£ll,6oo. Proposed mode of working the landOrdinary mode of quartz mining. Precise locality—Owen District. Being the ground comprised in the leases known as the Wakatu and Uno leases. Term for which special claim is required —ls years. Time of commencing operations Operations arejnow being carried on. General remarks—The shareholders in both leases, having amalgamated their Companies, are desirous of having the ground granted to them under one title, as well as to secure if possible a reduction in rent; and also that having the leases amalgamated would give the Company greator facilities for opening up the ground on an extensive scale. Tne above application and any objection thereto will be heard at the Warden's Office at Murchison, on TUESDAY, 28th SEPTEMBER, 1886. Extent of ground applied for —65 acres 3 roods and 37 perches. Minimum number of men proposed to bo employed by the lessee—For the first twelve months, 6 men; subsequently, when in full work, 16 men. Amount of capital proposed to be invested—X?lß,ooo. Proposed mode of working the land— Ordinary modes of quartz mining. Precise locality—The ground comprised in the lease is known as the Broken Hill, Eutei prise, Golden Point, and Progress. Term for which special claim is required—ls years. Time of commencing operations—lmmediately special claim is granted. General remarks—The special claim is songht for, as it is intended to carry out immediately works of an extensive nature in opening up the reefs on these leases; and also that machinery will bo more readily forthcoming when the ground is held as a special claim. The above application and any objection thereto will be heard at the Warden's Office at Murchison, on TUESDAY, 28th SEPTEMBER, 1886.
