London, March 16. It is understood that Mr Chamberlain dissents from the Irish policy formulated by Mr Gladstone, and he is expected to resign in consequence. In the Honse of Commons last night Mr Osborne Morgan, Under-Secretary for the Colonies, replying to a question from Sir William Arthur, stated that no decision would be come to with regard to separation in Queensland until the receipt of a memorial from the colonists on the subject. The Right Hon. Joseph Chamberlain (President of the Local Government Board) and the Right Hon. G. O. Trevelyan (Secretary for Scotland) have tendered their resignations. Constantinople, March 16.
Prince Alexander of Bulgaria now demands to be appointed Governor of Roumelia for his life time, instead of for a term of ten years only as provided by the agreement with the Porte.
