It is reported that Nordenfeldt hns his fore-leg while training, and it is doubtful whether he will come to the post for any of the event? for which he is entered at the approaching V.B.C. Meeting. February 10. In the Legislative Assembly to-day, Mr Garvan save notice that he will move to-morrow that the policy of the Government does not satisfy the House. New South Wales and South Australia nre joining the other colonies in their protest against any French occupation of the New Hebrides. Hobart, February 10. The Tasmanian Government have definitely refused to increase the subsidy prid by the Colony to the Eastern Extens:on Cable Company.
