SWIMMING.
KAIAPOI AMATEUR CLUB. The eighth annual meeting of tho Kaiapoi Amateur Swimming Club was held last, night, Mr H. Fisher presiding. Tho report stated that the past season had been very' quiet. ' Thirty-one members had offered! for active service, twenty-two beiug accepted. The balance-sheet, showed a credit of £2 6s 6d. The report and balancesheet were adopted. Officers were • elected as follow:—Patron, Hon D. Buddo, M.P.; president, Mr J. H. Blackwell; club captain, Mr H. Fisher: vicecaptain, Mb' S. Turnbull; honorary secretary, Mr J. B. Wylie: committee, Messrs T. Hoskin, H. Cory, S. Baker, E. Wylie, R. Barnard, W. Fjaher, H. Williams, L. 0. Fuldacth, J. Richards and 0, Joslen; ladies' committee, Mrs T.
