The head master reported the number -on the roll as .1027.- The children had collected bottles to assist the Lady Liverpool Fund, which benefited to tha amount of £B. A circular was received from the Education Board' in regard to ..cutting down tho incidental allowance, and tho following icbo* ’lution was passed and ordered to be forwarded to tlio board:—.‘‘That in the opinion of Giis committee the proposal of the Education Board to reduce the amount* payable to School Committees' is contrary to the best interests of the children, and as a committee we most emphatically protest against any reduction, it being now almost an impossibility for school committees. to make ends meet under present circumstances. Further, that as tho Government has recectly seen fit. to give almost half a million of money to certain of its servants es a war bonus, this committee considers - that any reduction in the incidenYal allowance is quite uncalled for.” It was resolved io call the Education Board's attention to the promised new school and to ask when « start was going to be made. It was decided that the chairman of the board should be asked to unveil tile honours board and a memorial tablet to the late Lance-Corporal X.‘ Sustins (late of the tenching staff) on October 7, and to invito all the members of the board to be present..
