NAVY LEAGUE WAR FUND.
ADDITIONAL DONATIONS. The following additional subscriptions have been received towaids tho Navy League War Fund:—Proceeds of social by Sefton Social Committeo (per Mr E. C. Topp), £7 7s; Sefton Miniature R.flo Club (per Mr E. C. Topp, prize money for year)), £2 I 83; Qhoka district (proceeds of crncert orgaiised by Patriotic Committee and salo of flag givon by Mr R. O. Disc:.), £93 'los 9d; total £21,683 16s Sd. BAZAAR AT WEST LYTTELTON. With tho object of raising funds for the dependents of these who lo3e their lives in naval warfare, a bawar ,was held in St Saviour's Schoolroom, West Ly'telton, on Saturday afternoon, and was a decided success. The function was organised by the Misses Curtis, Cloary, Smith. Geddes, Plimmer, A. Bean, F. Bean, D. Peate, K. Peate, Fletcher, M. Agar, V. Agar, Pcndcison and Morris, and tho children carried out their work in a creditable manner. There was a varied assortment of. atalls and ' guessing competitions, and good business was done. The bazaar was opened by Mr J. T. Norton, deputy-Mayor, win congratulated the childien oil their organisation and patriotism in looking after tho welfare of tho naval men. The Rev E. Eliot Chambers also spoke m appreciation of tho children's work. The toal amount of tho day's takings reached £24, a figure which was considered excellent in view of the fact that no subscriptions were solicited.
