A service of intercession, under the auspices of" the Christchurch Ministers' Associa-' tion, will be he d in the Salvation Army Citadel on Wednesday evening. Major Newby will preside, the Bev J. Cocker will give an address, and several representative ministers will take part in the service. The forty-first anniversary of "Wesley Church, Fitzgerald Avenue, will bo celebrated to-morrow. The morning preacher will bo tho Rev A. C. Lawry, the president of the Methodist Conference. In the afternoon a sacred song service will be held, when anthems and solos will bo sung by the Durham Street Church choir, under tho conductorship of Mr E. Firth. The' evening service will be conducted by the Bev W. A. Sinclair. The annual meeting of tho Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will be held at the Y.M.Ca. Building on Tuesday evening next. _!". The commencement of the shearing classes of the Technical College has been postponed to October 2.
