Entries for the Canterbury Sweet Pea and Carnation Society's annual show will close on January 12 at 8 p.m at Mr C. W. Hervey's' office. A special meeting of the Sumuer Borough Council has been summoned for Tuesday. January 12, for tho purpose of appointing a statutory closing day for the weekly half-holiday within the borough.
