EAST CAPE RACE.

The Christchurch Homing Pigeon Society flew off its first East Cape race on December 20, fifty-four birds, representing seventeen owners, competing. Hingsford’a Dax. which flow tho distance or />23 miles 1150yds air lino in 28hr Smin 6see, after deducting eight hours for darkness a velocity of 517 yards per minute. A. 1‘ ml ay eon s Will of the Wisp was second, in 26hr 39mm 56sec, a velocity of 636yds per minutes; G. Barter’s Little Tib third, in S6hr 6taun 20sec, a velocity of 414yds, and I. Aowton’s Capstan fourth, in 42hr 56nnn G3sec, a volo/fity of 357yds. F. King6ford s Combine also homed in race-time.
