ME BONAR LAW’S CHALLENGE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, February 26. In the House of Commons debate on the working of the Insurance Act, Mr Bonar Law challenged the Government to deny that their actuary was convinced that the minimum benefits of the promised Bill cannot be paid by a large number of approved societies. Yet Mr Lloyd George had definitely promised security. Personally Mr Bonar Law favoured a voluntary system similar to the Danish system, the employers being compelled to pay contributions for all workers.
